![]() Wednesday, July 23, 2014 | 11:34 PM ![]() After the long await of the temptation of Burgertory through facebook's burger pictures, I've finally gave it a try after my first semester's final. Planned to go Burgertory instead of other restaurants because Burgertory usually opens at 6pm which is hardly to gather most of my friends and enjoy the burgers together where today is different as we finished our last paper at 7pm together. Therefore, DINNER!~
(this picture was taken from another blogger since I didn't manage to capture a picture of the signboard)
We arrived at 7 something and it was already full. Can you imagine what's so good about Burgertory that makes the burger joint to be so crowded? For what I know before this, Burgertory was famous due to their thick and juicy patties burgers. It was so true when I tasted it. The patty was about 2.5 -/+ cm thick and surprisingly the whole patty was cooked, not even a part of raw pink meat I can find in the patty. WOW! However, the portion was rather big for me although I'm super hungry. Don't get me wrong. I'm not those pretty girls who mind about their diet or small eater.
Prices on the menu are all for ala carte where to make it a set, you have add on
RM5 - a carbonated/hot drink + apple salad/fries
or
RM7 - a carbonated/hot drink + chessy mashed potato that topped with minced pork topping
For the hot drinks, they serve Espresso, Milo, Mocha & etc. Besides, it was BOTTOMLESS!
I've chosen chessy mashed potato as I'm sick of eating fries in burger joints. Indeed, never regret with it. It tasted AH-MAY-ZING with the homemade minced pork topping which tasted like lasagna+shepherd pie for me. Damn it! If I'm there again, I would definitely go for the mashed potato again!
Habanero Hot Lips. RM18
It's a spicy pork burger that contains of homemade habanero spicy sauce, bonito flakes, ebikko & tasty seasoned scallop underneath the juicy pork patty.
Bacon Paradise. RM19
Cheddar Mild Cheese melted on the juicy pork patty with two strips of homemade candy pork bacon that enriched the bacon flavour. However, the bacon tasted more like dried meat where you can it during Chinese New Year. My friends, KarMan & Miranda have this with fries. It comes with a homemade sauce. Yummyumm =P
Sabi Sabi. RM19
Burger of the month where it is a new creation of the chef. It served with full of wasabi, bonito flakes, cheddar cheese melted on the beef patty and tasty tonkatsu sauce. Most importantly, instead of using a burger bun, it was replaced by Japanese pancake. So japanese feel right? I never taste it as it was beef :(
As for the setting, this is where its get interesting.
The images on the board show how Burgertory was created from a sketch to a reality. All the wooden tables and chairs were made by their own staffs. It was really special isn't it? I was impressed with their hard work and their neat construction skills.
I love the interior a lot. Not only the handmade wooden tables and chairs but also the decorations in the burger joints. It was full of pictures frames which engrave my favourite vintage style.
